  • Fans - Crazy about their teams, or just plain crazy?

The baseball season is barely 2 weeks old, and there's already been some notable misbehavior in the stands.  First, there was this..  and now, there's this.

All you early 90's TV afficionados will know where this is.  For the rest of you, it's a scene from the opening credits for Full House.  Our small group had a picnic here, so I got to take this picture.

Full House was (and still is) one of those shows that had universal appeal.  They had the Friday night TV market cornered for a number of years.  Full House and Family Matters gave ABC a formidable block of programming.  Then, when they added Step By Step, it just made it that much stronger.  For whatever reason, though, they could never find that 4th show to finish off the night.  They did have Perfect Strangers for a while, but the cousins were never as popular as the Tanners and the Urkel/Winslows.

Back to Full House...  Growing up, I identified with Danny Tanner.  He was responsible, took great care of his girls, and had a slightly different sense of humor.  Then later I found out Bob Saget (not Sagat) had a comedy routine that was supposedly filled with expletives and adult subject matter, and that kind of ruined the Danny Tanner character for me.

In one of the seasons, the show had on an Asian boy named Harry.  In one episode, I think he married Stephanie in a backyard ceremony.  Does anyone remember that?  I thought that was cool.  There weren't many Asians on television (Margaret Cho doesn't count), so that was good to see.
